Painting of exterior concrete parts

Professional painting of concrete ceilings, concrete walls, concrete railings and concrete balustrades in outdoor areas

What paint should be used for painting exterior concrete components?

When painting exterior concrete components, an acrylate façade paint is recommended for several reasons, such as Brillux Evocryl 200

  1. The paint has a CO2-inhibiting effect, thus counteracting carbonation of the concrete and protecting the reinforcing steel from rusting. This rusting of the reinforcing steel leads to the typical chipping of concrete parts.
  2. An acrylic façade paint is the right choice for horizontal surfaces where water remains standing for a long time. In this case, dispersion facade paints and also very good silicate or silicone resin paints cause the paint to flake off. Acrylic façade paints are much more resistant here.

How do I prepare the concrete components and how often do I paint the concrete components?

Raw concrete:

  1. Priming with Brillux Lacryl Tiefgrund ELF 595
  2.  2-3 coats with Brillux Evocryl 200

Concrete already painted

  1. Remove loose paint
  2. Kill off any algae, e.g. with  Pufas Algen- und Schimmel-Stop
