For years, our team has been looking for a wallpaper protector that does not change the look and character of the wallpaper.
A really difficult search! In most of the wallpaper coatings we tested, the gloss level of the wallpaper was greatly changed. In most cases, the result was a spotty and bacon-like sheen. Many coatings that were matte and not very glossy, in turn, changed the colours of the wallpaper. So either light wallpaper became yellow or dark wallpaper got a whitish haze.
Now, however, our search has come to a successful end for the time being:
Brillux Softfeel 2060
Actually, this transparent coating was not developed for wallpaper, but for paints to make them even more durable. However, we have tested it several times on wallpaper and found that it is ideal for protecting wallpaper. For example, for protecting wallpaper in the bathroom.
Brillux Softfeel 2060 is uniformly soft matte, transparent, noncolor-changing, water-based and low-odor. The coating is highly abrasion-resistant, hard-wearing and easy to apply. It can be easily applied with a roller.
