Is it possible to use wall paints on wood?

Wall paints (such as Les Couleurs Le Corbusier poLyChro paint, Estate Emulsion and Modern Emulsion paints from Farrow & Ball, Little Greene Absolute Matt Emulsion and Intelligent Emulsion, Architects Matt Emulsion and Pure Flat Emulsion from Paint & Paper Library, as well as Zoffany and Sanderson wall paints) can generally be painted on wood or wood-based materials, such as MDF boards, OSB boards or chipboard.

The following should be noted here:

1. The surfaces are by far not as scratch-resistant and durable as the manufacturers' paints. It is      therefore advisable to paint only surfaces that are subject to similar stresses as wall surfaces.

2. There may be a bleed-through of wood constituents. This happens during drying and causes a yellowish discoloration of the paint. Light colors are more sensitive to this than dark colors. If your color is a lighter shade, we recommend that you first block off the wood with a solvent-based primer, e.g. Brillux Adhesion Primer 850.
